Happy New Year!
For whatever reason, January has never been a favorite month of mine.
Even as a young girl I sort of dreaded it. I felt sorry for the people whose birthdays were in January because I love birthdays but not January!
I had a friend whose birthday was in January and just about every year her party had to get canceled or rescheduled to a different day because of a snowstorm.
My attitude has tried to change since Logan was born in January of 2013. I cannot believe that he’ll be 7 years old next week!

Even though Logan’s birthday is in January, Billy died in January. 2 and 1/2 weeks after Logan’s birthday.
Maybe that’s why I’ve always struggled with that month. A part of me knew that tragedy awaited on a cold January night in 2018 when I would be 44 years old.

So how do I feel this January? Honestly about the same. I’m trying to have a good attitude about the year 2020. The year of vision. Gods Word says “Without vision people perish.” Proverbs 29:18.
I’ve also prayed these verses from Ephesians chapter 1 over my family for 18 years. I’m believing that this year, 2020 is our year for these scriptures to come to pass.
Ephesians 1:16-19 16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18 the EYES 👀 of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power.
If you’re reading this, no matter what month or year it is, I pray this powerful promise comes to pass in your life as well.
I truly wish you a Happy New Year and may you receive God’s blessings as we celebrate another year closer to the return of our lord and savior Jesus Christ. Amen, Come Lord Jesus.
