Out Of The Mouths Of Babes.

Kids say the cutest things!

Sometimes I wonder how they come up with the profound things that come out of their mouths, but I have a pretty good idea!

This morning as Logan was waking up, he was just laying in bed, listening to his Bible songs.

” Joshua fought the battle of Jericho” was playing.

If you’re not familiar with the story you can read it here.

Joshua fought the battle of Jericho

Logan said “Nana, the battle is in our heads.” The song actually says “the battle is in my hands”

The song Logan was listening to.

I really like Logan’s version. How true it is.

The battle is in our heads, all the time.

What is our belief system?

Where did it come from?

How did it get there?

The battle is in our minds, in our heads.

What we say to ourselves about ourselves. Our self talk, when we find ourselves talking to ourselves in our own heads and maybe even out loud …

You are your biggest fan or your own worst enemy.

You also believe and value your own thoughts more than what anyone else says about you.

What we watch and listen to,shapes our belief system, it impacts our thoughts.

We are careful to watch our physical diets, what we put in our mouth to chew on and swallow.

What about our mental diets?

What TV shows, series on Netflix or HULU, songs on iTunes, Pandora or Spotify, games on XBOX or Play Station or even our cell phones are we watching, listening to and playing?

Now that we understand, and probably validate our belief systems, let’s realize something very important…

Where the mind goes, the man follows. Actions always follow our thoughts. It’s inevitable.

It’s time to start thinking about, what we’re thinking about!

Perhaps it’s called a “train of thought” because much like a train on train tracks, once our heads start filling with thought after thought, it’s quickly going in one direction and it picks up speed as it goes.

Think about things that are true, lovely, just, pure, righteous, of a good report, having virtue or anything praise worthy.

Think on these things.

Our lives are going in the direction of our thoughts.

The battle is in our heads, but we choose the outcome, one thought at a time.
